OUR MENTOR DR. G. D. JINDAL

DR G. D. JINDAL is a visionary whose aim and focus was to develop high volume and low cost non-invasive diagnostic tools. He superannuated as Scientific Officer (H+) & Head, Biomedical Instrumentation Section from Electronics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in 2012, and presently working as Professor, Bio-Medical Engineering at MGM’s College of Engineering & Technology, Kamothe, Navi-Mumbai. He is recognized PhD (Technology) guide for University of Mumbai in Bio-Medical Engineering and & Ph.D. (Bio-Technology) for MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Navi-Mumbai.
His journey of over 37 yrs of extensive research in Bio Medical Instrumentation includes development of M-Mode Echocardiograph, Microprocessor and PC based Impedance Plethysmograph, Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulator, Occlusive Impedance Phlebograph, Uniformity & Linearity Correction for Scintigraphy Images, Micro-computer Control for Capsule Sorting System, Bed Side Vaso-Screen, High Resolution ECG, Medical Analyzer, Body Composition Analyzer, Peripheral Pulse Analyzer and Handheld Tele-ECG. Many technologies namely Impedance Cardio-vasograph, Cardiac Output Monitor, Oxygen Saturation Monitor, Non-invasive Blood Pressure Monitor, Medical Analyzer and Handheld Tele-ECG have been transferred to the several Industries namely, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Opto Circuits (India) Ltd., CHESS Medicare Pvt. Ltd. and MRK Healthcare. He has also been working on Non-invasive Hemoglobin and Blood Glucose Meter, Beat to Beat Blood Pressure Monitor, Tele Stethoscope, Spiro Meter and Mobile Phone Based Tele Peripheral Pulse Analyzer and Pulse Harmonic Analyzer.
