Description
Peripheral Pulse Analyzer is an advanced computer based system for the study of physiological variabilities has unique feature that it yields heart rate variability, respiration rate variability, cardiac output variability and peripheral blood flow variability from a single data acquisition session from the patient. The instrument employs the principle of impedance plethysmography and measures electrical impedance and its time derivative (representing blood flow) at three consecutive segments on the wrist of the human. The data acquisition is controlled by the PC, serially connected to the acquisition unit. The variability analysis and transfer to database is performed by the PC with the help of Peripheral Pulse Analyzer package in post processing module.
